Bauan Priests Raise Howl Over Cockpit

(January 31, 2009 – Saturday) – Priests who call themselves “Anak ng Bauan” join their townmates in this “Levitical town” in  their protest over the pending operation of a cockpit, the first ever to be constructed in this municipality, where beer is not served and sold at public places.  Today, Mayor Rhyan Dolor led his fellow public officials in dialoguing with representatives of the parish led by Fr. ComVoc Gears Up for a Month-long Action

(January 23,2009) –  After its Marian-flavored opening of the vocation month,  the Commission on Vocation has lined up a series of activities which will keep its Vocation Team on its feet the whole month.  Fr. Toter Resuello and his team, made up mostly of religious women and seminarians,  will invade SM-Lipa on February 8, Sunday.  They’ll set up their exhibits and Fr. Vocation Month Opening to be tied up with Visit of Pilgrim Statue of Fatima

(January 23, 2009) -  This year’s annual vocation month, traditionally held the whole month of February, will be tied up with the significant visit of the International Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima to the Archdiocese.  After the priests, religious and laity of Vicariate VI’s  welcome  at Parish Church of Sto. Tomas, Batangas on February 1 at 3:00 pm.,  the global-touring sttue of the Virgin will arrive at the Cathedral of St. Sebastian, Lipa City, where the Commission on Vocation (ComVoc), headed by Rev. Fr. Rochester Charles “Toter” Resuello, in coordination with the Association of Religious in the Archdiocese of Lipa (ARAL) and the parish community of St. Sebastian, led by Rev. Fr. “I did not know that I am the subject of the dialogue,” Archbishop bares in an interview!

dsc_0056(January 13, 2009) –  It was a welcome dialogue with the Mayors of Batangas for Archbishop Ramon C. Arguelles!

“I had no idea that I will be the topic for that dialogue.  Mayor Tita Reyes,  the league’s president, approached me and requested for this dialogue with the Mayors after our conference with our guest speaker in the morning.  I even went around to encourage the mayors to stay and designated the refectory as our venue for this dialogue because the BBC-Lipa Chapter had its own business meeting at the hall, after lunch.  It turned out that I was the topic of the dialogue.”   Read the rest of this entry »


BBC-Lipa Holds General Assembly

bbc-lipa-copy The Bishop-Businessmen’s Conference-Lipa Chapter is set to hold its General Assembly on January 8, Thursday, at the Archbishop’s Residence.    Atty. Ramel Muria,  BBC-Lipa Secretary, has provided copies of the invitations and program of the whole day affair,  which will start with a forum  on electoral reform.  Incidentally,  the morning will be devoted to the “Christmas party” to be hosted by His Excellency,  Most Rev.
