(February 22, Sunday) — Two Redemptorist priests and two Perpetual Help sisters joined Fr. Nonie Dolor in the regular 8:00 am Sunday Mass at Villa San Jose to kick off what Fr. Nonie called the “re-evangelization” of Villa San Jose. In what was a very opportune way of preparing for the Year of St. Joseph, the patron of this housing village for the poor of the Archdiocese of Lipa. According to Fr. Pete Katigbak, C.Ss.R., the coordinator of this “mission”, they would “be living among the people, talk to them and listen to them.” The four missionaries would be conducting house visitations and communally discern with the residents of Villa San Jose. February 18, 2009(February 18, 2009) – The closing of the second of the three-year-preparation for the Centennial Jubilee of the Archdiocese of Lipa has been set to March 21, Saturday. This was announced by Rev. Fr. Eyong Ramos, co-chair of the formation committee in charge of the whole year round of activities. This was also presented and approved in a joint meeting of the Executive Committee for the Centennial Celebration and the Presbyteral Council, both chaired by His Excellency, Archbishop Ramon C. Cardinal Rosales Blesses La Salle Lipa Chapel
February 9, 2009(February 9, 2008, MOnday) — His Eminence, Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales, Archbishop of Manila, was main celebrant in a Mass that served as the formal blessing of the newly-constructed school chapel of De La Salle Lipa. shortly before the Mass started, His Eminence graced the unvieling of the statue of St. John Baptist de la Salle at the entrance of the spacious and comfortable chapel. In his homily, Cardinal Rosales pointed out that the place where the chapel was built was really a holy ground, consecrated by the blood of Lipenos killed by the Japanese soldiers. he also reminded the Lasallian family that the chapel is a sign of God’s presence in a community, also a place of celebration, and a place that would reveal the character of Lipa Lasallians. Archbishops Meets ARAL leaders

(February 2,2009) - Members of the Association of Religious in the Archdiocese of Lipa (ARAL) renewed their vows of chastity, poverty and obedience before a capacity crowd which flocked the Cathedral of San Sebastian at the occasion of the opening of the Vocation month in the Archdiocese. One of the highlights of the celebration, co-sponsored by the Commission on Vocation, headed by Fr. Toter Resuello, the group, led by its Chairman, Redemptorist Fr. Olie Castor, C. Ss.R., was reminded by the Archbishop during his homily to be the light of the people in their respective communities.
