Nagkaroon ng meeting ang Board of Trustees ng Mary Mother of the Poor Foundation ng Pilipinas noong September 14, 2009 sa Saint Paul retreat house sa Alfonso, Cavite upang pag-usapan ang mga updates sa paggawa ng Montemaria Shrine. Ang mga dumalo ay sina Father Fernando Suarez, Father Jeff Shannon, Father Ronilo Javines, Father Ernesto Mandanas at Bishop Salvador Quizon, Ms. Ching Cruz, Mr. Arthur Cabrera, Ms Teresas Chan, Ms Paz Monteclaro, Architect Susan Castillo, Architect Reggie Ragojos at Brother Andrew Gamilla. Fr. Jun Quiambao, first Pastor of the latest Parish of Archdicoese of Lipa

(October 11, 2009) –  With the scenic Mt. Malarayat range as its backdrop and given a fairly good weather that afternoon of October 10,  Lipa Archbishop Ramon C. Arguelles canonically erected the latest parish in the Archdiocese in an elaborate liturgical rite that lasted for more than two hours.  The new parish is located at the outskirts of famed Malarayat Golf and Country Club, in a lot donated by Architects Tony and Tina Turalba, major stockholders of this booming golfing and housing site in Talisay, Lipa City.  

Inter-Faith Group to Rally vs. ConAss

(Batangas City) -  The religious community of this prime city of CALABARZON Region will show its force in a Prayer March against HR 1109 which seeks to amend the Constitution through Constituent Assembly.  According to Fr. Cecilio Arce,  parish priest of the Immaculate Conception Parish and chairman of the six-interfaith Batangas City Ecumenical Council,  the march will be held on July 17, Fiday and will start at the Provincial Capitol and end at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
